As if by divine guidance, I stumbled across an entity Obama currently seems to be connected to, aside from the Harvard Law Review and the Office of the President (and the shadowy connections to the ACORN organization and Jeremiah Wright, etc.)
About six months ago, give or take, a friend of mine made me aware of Aaron Russo, which, at the time, was one of those items that the majority of people considered "Fringe;" one of the things that only those who wear aluminum hats would pay attention to. As many of us now know, much of what Russo said is obviously happening, and the alarms have just now started to go off with the general public.
Back to the point of this post....
So, the single entity that our bosky leader seems to be affiliated with is a Foundation called, "Joyce Foundation." Fairly innocuous on the surface, but they have an interesting list of relationships.
"The Joyce Foundation supports efforts to protect the natural environment of the Great Lakes, to reduce poverty and violence in the region, and to ensure that its people have access to good schools, decent jobs, and a diverse and thriving culture. We are especially interested in improving public policies, because public systems such as education and welfare directly affect the lives of so many people, and because public policies help shape private sector decisions about jobs, the environment, and the health of our communities. To ensure that public policies truly reflect public rather than private interests, we support efforts to reform the system of financing election campaigns. " [8]
Issues include the environment, education, and gun violence.

So if you follow some of the links, here, you will see that this points exactly where we would expect. One path I followed, took me to Political Research Associates (PRA, a.k.a. PublicEye.org), (PRA, a.k.a. "Public Eye") who's founder is the author of Mobilizing Resentment, Conservative Resurgence from the John Birch Society to the Promise Keepers, and from...you guessed it... Chicago. Something that caught my attention was an article [6] titled, A Call To Defend Democracy And Pluralism by the Blue Mountain Working Group.
Another path took me to "Researching the Right for Progressive Changemakers [7]," and yet another gave me this list:
